Council Member LaTrisha Vetaw

Ward-4-LaTrisha-Vetaw

LaTrisha is proud to serve Ward 4 in North Minneapolis on the City Council. LaTrisha loves the diversity and small-town feel of Ward 4. She started her career in public service twenty years ago when she left the corporate world and started working in community health.

LaTrisha served as the Director of Health Policy and Advocacy at NorthPoint Health & Wellness, Inc. from 2006 to 2021. In this role she brought together coalitions of hundreds of community members and young people to push for public health policy change at the state and local level.

In 2017, LaTrisha was elected to an At-Large seat on the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board where she served as the Vice President and Chair of the Intergovernmental and Legislative Committee. During her term, LaTrisha worked with other elected officials and Northside community members to secure funding for parks and programs in under-invested neighborhoods throughout Minneapolis.

LaTrisha lives with her husband Ronald and their very energetic (fur) baby Bobby. In her free time, LaTrisha enjoys gardening, seeing the city by scooter, taking Bobby for long walks, and traveling.
